I don't want it to, but there is - or seems to be - no setting for changing the screen default mode.</p>
<p dir="auto">Yes, I know I can toggle full screen off and on, but that isn't the point - I don't want it to default to full screen and have to do that each time.</p>
<p dir="auto">'Opera help' is worse than useless - it just tells us how to toggle between full screen or not. There is nothing about changing the default mode.<img src="/assets/uploads/files/1692867887110-full.jpg" alt="full.jpg" class=" img-responsive img-markdown" /></p>

<p dir="auto">Command-control-F is simpler ... but doesn't seem to retain the last setting (and it's not clear that it should).  Nothing useful evident in Opera settings.</p>
