so at least older version could be installed on it; possibly newer<br />
version of Opera Installer needs some library not present here.</p>

<p dir="auto">I think the newer you can get is Opera 22.</p>

You could install an older version of Opera (even <strong>Opera</strong>), but you shall consider redistributing your browsing habits towards the one(s) that is (are) up-to-date, and in any case, sooner or later upgrading your computer to meet the new day.<br />
I have a Chrome here, I use it as a major <strong>browsing</strong> browser. But - the latter being automatically updated, constantly - it feels/seems that my OS/machine are/is getting more and more troubled to handle even quite easy tasks very often.</p>

Have tried to install 26 and when exe is downloaded and I hit 'install' or whatever, 'it' 'says' installer has encountered a problem or something like that and I can choose to send and error report to MS.</p>

IIRC later versions of Opera will not install on older processors (a restriction caused by Chromium I believe, not by Opera.)<br />
