When I respond to a message, the first line of my response does not show the typed letters completely (only the top half of each). It is not until I reach the second line that I can scroll back up to the first and see the entire sentence fully. I've learned to adapt to this peculiarity but it would be nice if I could get to see it from the get-go. What am I doing wrong?

Just curious what you have in mind. It's been this way so long, that I've learned to adapt to it by typing pretty much blindly. Once I go down to the second line, the first is finally revealed to me and I can make any corrections I need at that time. It's not really such a big issue. I just wondered if anyone else had it as well.

Too many variables ... None of the extensions you list sound like they'd effect the formatting though. For me, the input field is always about 10 lines tall - unless I drag on that bottom right corner to make it larger or smaller.

Hi Steve. I'm using Adblock, Ghostery, WebofTrust, Lastpass and Download Chrome Extension on Windows 8.1 and Opera 25.0.1614.68. It's been like this from day one but I've just accepted it. It only occurs when I'm responding to a message and only on the first line. Once I begin the second line of response, things appear as they should. Very odd.
