Appreciate your time for the reply. Good to see your involvement with corporate usage of applications. (myself a software engineer of 30+ years, now retired).

I'm following your footsteps with regard to Opera removal.

There is a lot to like in Opera for sure. Running linux I have actually been pleasantly surprised by Edge in fact. I stopped using Chrome a year ago and aside from infrequent test I never use it. Brave is nice as is Firefox for that matter. I use Brave by default.

I also am involved in lockdown browsers for self-service and self-order.

There is a huge opportunity for controlled, and accessible browser in corporate environment, and for consumer for that matter, especially given privacy, lack of adherence to stated policies, and malware.

Opera will be removed from consideration due to accessibility. Maybe they need more marketing and more user-oriented usability design.

Yea, just after I replied to your thread, I posted my own, "Opera does not persist its window size", which is very bothersome.

So not only do I have to resize the Opera window to a pleasing size, almost every time it starts (it forgets what I sized it to), I NOW ALSO have the challenge of grabbing a side edge, then the top edge to resize.

Using the trackpad on my laptop is a challenge to do this, because the sizing borders are almost non-existent.

On the desktop, the challenge is not so great, using a freeform mouse is much easier.

But yea, I have a feeling that visual (GUI) feedback interviews were few. Don't get me rwong, Opera has a great list of features and customizability, but the very basic "resize a window" usability was overlooked.

Edit: I may also post my thread in an openSuse forum (the distro I've used for years) ... maybe they have some sort of "generic" solution for users of KDE Plasma desktop envionment.

I was hoping maybe gnome extension would repair but no luck. Maybe zooming browser view? You might think usability would be higher priority

.
Opera: 99.0.4788.31 running on openSuse Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma, on a Dell Latitude.

Yea, I have the same complaint. It takes some very precise trackpad mouse movement (on my laptop) to grab an Opera window's edge (horiz or vertical). And best of luck trying to grab an Opera window's corner, so you can resize horiz/vertical simultaneously.

Seeing how quiet it is in this thread, I guess some day I'll figure out a workaround.
