<![CDATA[Opera Mini Not Compressing Data?]]>Opera Mini Seems to Have Stopped Compressing Data.
I am in UK and am using a Dutch Opera Mini server. Over the last couple of days I have noted that -although Opera Mini is stating that it is giving good compression ratios in Extreme mode - the Android app data usage shows similar to uncompresed data (and is nothing like the Opera Mini reported).
This tallies with increased carrier data usage.

I don't think non-extreme mode is really doing any compression, even when I turn the image quality to low. I wonder if it's possible to use an older version, as I don't seem to be there only person seeing no compression.

Or does that not work as everything is being done (or not) server side?

The other modes will try to compress data when it's possible.

I don't think the other 'High' mode is doing any compression?
