Help in installing an Opera Mail account would be greatly appreciated. I have spent hours going round in circles. I have a Gmail account. Do I need a second email account - if so, where do I find it?

@kevinbradley Opera Mail is a very old email client, not an email service. So it's a software for you to check your current email accounts.

@kevinbradley I doubt Google will accept Opera Mail as a client as it is 7 years old - I know I had to go through a lot of hoops to get Yahoo to accept it. But I don't use Gmail so I can't say for sure.

Logging into Gmail requires oAuth2 support now that Opera Mail doesn't support. However, someone said that if you goto https://myaccount.google.com/security, enable 2-step verification, create an app password for Opera Mail and use that app password to log into your Gmail account in Opera Mail, things will still work. You'll have to test.
On a side note, make sure to fix Opera Mail's TLS settings.
