<![CDATA[Suddenly seeing "OPERA MAIL" error messages when opening Opera 12.19]]>My system is WinXP+SP3 on an older DELL XPS-Z so I cannot run 'new school' Opera >12.19. have tried and it just hangs my PC.

Suddenly in the past few days when I go to open Opera I get an error message over the opening choice window about an error in OperaMail referenced to a file |omailbase.dat| in |"...Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\Opera\mail"| which is being used (supposedly) by another user.

I do not use OPERAMAIL, and I am the only user of this PC on the system.

Any suggestions on a fix or workaround - its an annoyance, but more importantly why is it happening now?

Make sure there's no Mail Root Directory= line under the [Mail] section.

With Opera closed, of course.
