<![CDATA[Passphrase for sync]]>Can anyone tell me how to set a passphrase for the opera synchronisation.
I installed opera on a laptop and wanted to sync with other PC and after resetting sync on the web site i go back into opera browser and try to enter a passphrase but it just tells me it is incorrect. I have only been trying opera for a couple of weeks and definitely not entered a passphrase previously, I do have a password for the opera account but it won't accept that.

I tried what you said and it seems to be working now. Very strange though and I think that page with the video should be updated with a FAQ for others who are having the same issue.

Also I wish there was a way to do a full backup of Opera including all plugins etc like I can do with Firefox (just copying the directory) as it is such a pain to have to go and reinstall all the extensions again.

I did something like the following (I think), I hadn't set one before that but it seemed to think I had, go to https://www.sync.opera.com/ and click on Reset Passphrase then go to opera://settings/syncSetup in the browser and select 'data is encrypted with passphrase' in the encryption options at the bottom and it might (?) let you have another go.

Though I found a lot of the setup I had done on opera, like importing bookmarks and passwords had all gone after the reset so I don't think I will be using it now.
