<p dir="auto">I haven't seen anything in the settings menu to disable the start up sound, and some of the solutions I have found in other Opera forums look like they are outdated. It might be worth starting a new thread if the issue persists after the next update though.</p>
<p dir="auto">I not sure what you ended up doing to disable the feature, but I found a few solutions on reddit that might work in case you're interested:</p>

Disabling it to turn off annoying animations is a workaround, not a solution.</p>

I've used that option now, and it didn't actually stop the animation when changing between workspaces, so I've had to go back to disabling Hardware Acceleration. It was worth a try though.</p>

They're nice in certain websites, like portfolios and that's pretty much it.<br />
No other software (or webpages) designed for actual work has any animations - for good reasons. They are distracting and waste your time.<br />

Search for the 'hardware acceleartion' in advanced settings and turn it off. Upon restarting Opera, thos annoying animations are gone. I don't know what else this option does, so probably there is some minor performance loss, but for the time being this can help.</p>

<p dir="auto">Each time I switched workspaces - when trying to reference some text for a piece I was working - my brain kept forgetting what I was trying to do because the visual distraction of the animations was too much. I feel like I'm <em>less</em> productive since installing OperaOneDev yesterday.</p>
<p dir="auto">I would really love to know how to disable it - the difference is such a strong impact that it might be the one thing that'll force me to switch back to regular Opera.</p>
