<![CDATA[Cant import opera setting/cookies/passwords to Opera GX]]>Whenever I try to import stuff from my Opera browser it just doesnt work. Literally nothing happens. And at the tutorial thing at the start when it asked me to do that it said there was an error.

Close Opera and Opera GX.

Then, in Windows Explorer (File Explorer) (with extensions and hidden items set under View -> Show), browse to "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software".

In that "Opera Software" folder, rename the "Opera GX Stable" folder to "Opera GX Stable old". Then, rename (or copy if you want to keep your regular Opera data) the "Opera Stable" folder to "Opera GX Stable".

Then, do the same thing in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Opera Software"

Then, your regular Opera profile will be tranferred/copied to Opera GX. You can then start Opera GX and customize and Opera-GX-Specific settings.

Make a test standalone installation to a folder named "Opera GX Test" on your desktop. In that Opera, goto the URL opera://flags/#password-import, enable the flag and close that Opera.

Then, make sure the browser you want to import from is totally closed. Confirm this by looking on the "Processes" tab in the Windows task manager.

Then, start the test Opera, goto the URL opera://settings/importData, select the browser you want to import from in the drop-down and choose to import.

Does importing work fine there or do you still get an error? If an error, what's the error say exactly?

What browser are you trying to import from?

I noticed you added the "Opera Sync" tag to this thread. Are you actually trying to import from another browser or just trying to sync with another Opera?
