<p dir="auto">Because I seldom drag the Opera window, but I very often click on tabs.</p>
<p dir="auto">The easiest way to click a tab on a maximized window is move mouse cursor up to top edge of screen and click.<br />
If setting is enabled, you can click the tab.</p>
<p dir="auto">If setting is disabled, you cannot click a tab by moving mouse to top of screen.<br />
You must place the cursor just below before click.</p>

<p dir="auto">On my screen, 3840 x 2400 Win10 with Stable 97.0.4719.28 there is no visible difference on top of tab bar if this setting is enabled or disabled.</p>
<p dir="auto">Both modes give no extra space.</p>

Major faux pas. Although I rarely drag Opera around as it happens. However, for applications in general I do and it's obvioulsy a fundamental feature. Do we even ned that search button at all? I just use the leybaord. Alternatively make it an option.</p>
<p dir="auto">Anyway, it seems that it's fixed in beta.</p>

The team listened. I have been using this browser for work countless times a day, everyday. The new version is more comfortable to use now.</p>

<p dir="auto">Go to opera://settings/ &gt; Browser. Deselect:</p>
<p dir="auto">Remove extra space above the menu bar when the browser window is maximized.</p>
<p dir="auto">Now you can drag window even when maximized.<br />
No need for visible space, just push mouse to top and drag.</p>
<p dir="auto">Current stable Windows version is <strong>97.0.4719.28</strong>.</p>
<p dir="auto">I have open space to the left of search icon, even when title bar filled with tabs.</p>

It's such a small detail but surprisingly one of the most used area of a window design. The beta version has this fixed with better UI scaling but for some reason the sync feature is not working on my end so I can't use it. The same problem is also present in the GX version.</p>
<p dir="auto">You may want to consider Edge, Chrome, or Firefox until this design flaw is fixed.</p>

Now when I open up a bunch of tabs (normal), I can no longer drag the window.  So... will look to use a different browser if this is not fixed.  I have been dealing with this for a few weeks now and hoping it would be discovered and fixed by now.</p>

The tabs and text titles are larger. The tabs don't occupy the title bar entirely; leaving enough space for dragging browser window.</p>
