Not sure if i ever used Sync tho, could it help if i log into previous windows and activate sync there and after that log into new one to sync with old one?

It might work to do that as long as you have the old computer. If you just mean putting the old drive in the new computer, you'll have to test if that work. Then, if you start with new profile and cache folders on the new setup and log into Sync, it will pull in your passwords. And, for opened tabs, on the new setup, you can goto the URL opera://activity, find the newest session you had and open all the links.

Another way to do things though would be to right-click on a tab in the old setup, goto "save", and choose "all tabs to a speed dial folder". Then, in the new setup, you can goto the URL opera://bookmarks, right-click on the speed dial folder you created from the old setup and choose "open all in tabs".

If you can run the old setup and run Opera where your passwords are shown at the URL opera://settings/passwords, I would click the 3 dots next to "saved passwords" and export your passwords to a csv file. Then, on the new setup, if syncing doesn't work out, you can turn on the import flag and import the csv file to get your passwords back.

For extensions, just reinstall the extensions. For cookies, I wouldn't worry about them.

For history, try syncing. If that doesn't work, on the old setup, you can create a workspace named "history", goto the URL opera://history , right-click on entry and choose to open it in the "History" workspace. Then, when all done, right-click on a tab in the History workspace and save all those tabs to a speed dial folder where you can then right-click the folder on the new setup to open them all in tabs temporarily to get them in your history. Or, you could goto the URL opera://bookmarks, export your bookmarks to an HTML file, import them into a standalone installation, goto opera://bookmarks in the standalone installation, delete all bookmarks and bookmark folders etc. the "History" folder, empty the bookmarks trash, and export bookmarks to an HTML file. Then, you could import that HTML file into the new Opera setup and do the "open all in tabs" deal to get them in history.

Anyway, those are some tricks you can try if Opera Sync doesn't work out.

I'm surprised speed dials didn't carry over correctly. Goto the URL opera://bookmarks and look to see if they're shown in a folder for another device. If so, you can move them to your "Speed Dial" folder.

As for opened tabs, those are contained in the "Session_XXX" file in the "Sessions" folder in the profile folder. Users I think have had success of transferring those over, but maybe I'm mistake or they're corrupted.

Was your Opera logged into Opera Sync before? If so, carrying over the "Sync Data" folder in the profile folder and then logging into sync might have messed some things up.

Note that if Opera on the new installation of Windows has a problem saving something, you'll probably have to delete the file for that. For example, if Opera won't import or save (or even ask to save) passwords, you'll have to delete the "Login Data" file so Opera creates a new, blank one.
