Strangely, the URL you were apparently being directed to, http://es.alibaba.com, doesn't actually even seem to exist!
I had assumed it was the Spanish version of the site too, but it doesn't even seem to be that.

They identify that your preferred language is listed as Spanish (language code "es") and forward you to the Spanish version of the site.
