Icon missing, comes back when i download something and then gone again as soon as the download is finished. My problem is that many times the icon is not shown even when there is a download in progress. The file is downloading though.

So, everything seems to work as expected.

You can bookmark the opera://downloads page as a speed dial on the start page to quickly open downloads. You can also click the 3 dots at the bottom of the sidebar and enable the downloads panel to quickly get to downloads.

Anyway, if you don't have any downloads listed, the icon will not show.
