In the meantime I recommend trying Forecastfox (fix version) extension. Places icon in toolbar. I find it helpful to be able to see the outside local temperature and weather conditions at a glance, and I'm mostly in the browser when on my PC. This is what mine looks like at the moment. I've set it to C.
