I tried this out with Mozilla to see if it was a setting on my PC but no, Mozilla returns to the exact point on the previous page where I clicked and normal Opera is also fine. So what setting in OperaGX do I need to "reset" or what other cause is there for this?

I scroll down to "SpaceX is now launching 10 rockets for every one by its main competitor", click the link to goto the page and then click back, and I'm still scrolled down the page where I was at.
