Since last week or so, Opera Next won't stop crashing on my Mac. I assume it's because I'm using Yosemite developer preview (it's been very unstable since I installed it).
Any ideas? It was working two or three weeks ago...
If not, I hope there's an update coming (bored of using Safari).

Thanks !

A fix is on the way, but we cannot make any promises as to when it will be available. Possibly next week.

As I said above, you need the latest BETA Flash Plugin (should be version 15.0.0.215). The released one still has issues that cause these crashes.

The BETA plugin (don't worry, it's rock solid, better than the final one) can be found here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html

Thank you for the suggestion arsradu. Though when it comes down to switching, it'll probably be to Safari and not to another (potentially even more) unstable platform.
I tried resetting all flags (only had a few of them set) and the crashing got a lot more sparse. It still happens from time-to-time, but nearly not as much as used to.

Man, I gotta be honest with you. At first, I had the original version (I think it's 25...something). And the ONLY crashes I had were related to Flash. That's all. Nothing else. The reason why I installed and recommended upgrade to Opera Developer (version 26) is the fact that I really needed the Sync features that the regular build doesn't seem to have. But other than that...I had no issues whatsoever. So I'm not sure what is everybody complaining about here. And I'm willing to reinstall that version just to test this. But, to be honest, I think the crashes might be generated by something else.

So, I would recommend updating the Flash Plugin to the latest BETA (yes, BETA) version. You will have no more Shockwave crashes and, probably no more other kind of crashes either. Hope it helps.

By the way, I wouldn't recommend going back to Safari.

For the first time since I started using Opera, it's actually unusable, not just unstable or slow or buggy. Crashing every other minute. I don't want to change to another update stream because the beta has stuff like scores in games and other settings (cookies) that don't transfer. Hopefully either the next beta update or the next yosemite update will fix it.

I've got no such issues using the Developer version (version 26.0.1655.0). And yes, I'm also on Yosemite right now. You don't need to be a developer to use it. And it actually has some useful features that anyone will want to use, compared to the regular version.
If you wanna give it a try, here is the link: http://www.opera.com/developer.

By the way, I've got no stability issues whatsoever with this build.
