Now, we have just to resort all bookmarks in anti-chronological order, including ones set in the meanwhile. Will try the add-on proposed earlier by @@thatfrozenfire to do so.

It is a bit more tedious, however there doesn't seem to be any better option that I have found...

I didn’t figure out how to insert pictures correctly on the forum, I showed an error, so this is a link.
It shows what I have displayed in the bookmarks bar. The mouse cursor only shows one sort in alphabetical order, there are no other options.

Also don't forget to activate "Automatic Sorting" if it isn't turned on by default (Am not suree if it is or not). Hope this helps, might just be different versions of either the Add-On or Opera itself too...

Bookmarks are the most valuable thing I have in Opera.
These plugins basically do what Opera already has by default, sorting the bookmarks alphabetically. Probably sorting by date is currently not possible in these browsers.

Thank you for confirming that i am not alone to experience this, and to experience it very badly.
Why on Earth this outstanding feature -- putting new bookmarks on the top -- has been cancelled, without any workaround ?!
I have some folders with hundreds of bookmarks in some of them, and now, each time that i want to visit a recent bookmark i have to scroll down the list for minutes! It is just overwhelming. This feature was a major one driving me to switch from Firefox to Opera some years ago. I did not find any add-on to workaround this very downgrading change. I am now really searching for another browser.

By the way, i do not really understand why the initial message of this thread has been moved from "Opera for Windows" to "Suggestions and feature requests", since it comes from a bug, or an intentional downgrade.

In the meanwhile that won't last for long, the change makes every new bookmark breaking the anti-chronological order that i used for the best for years.

If there is any rationale about this change, i am eagerly expecting its public reference in order to understand what occurs.
