<p dir="auto">Any thing on Youtube simply crashes the page entirely.</p>
<p dir="auto">Come on guys, this has been a problem for years now. What gives?</p>
<p dir="auto">I have tried the usual</p>
<p dir="auto">sudo cp .local/lib/vivaldi/media-codecs-b647ccfd4aea97d646a09a82b06a46e617c55c2a7781697ac2dea35061aec9d6/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/</p>
<p dir="auto">but this hasn't fixed the issue this time.</p>
<p dir="auto">What's the fix now please?</p>

Ok I willl describe my steps:</p>

<li>sudo dpkg  --purge opera-stable</li>
<li>sudo rm -rf /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">Find all Opera files</p>
<ul>
<li>find /home/valdinei/ -iname opera</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">Delete all files in my home</p>
<ul>
<li>rm -rf /home/valdinei/.config/opera</li>
<li>rm -rf /home/valdinei/.cache/opera</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">After this I reinstalled a new opera version</p>
<ul>
<li>sudo dpkg -i opera-stable_86.0.4363.23_amd64.deb</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">My last version is not broken page, but all whatsApp videos  display a message "error" do not play.</p>
<p dir="auto">Youtube works fine,<br />
Instagram show me a video  but when a I click play not work.</p>
<p dir="auto">Any idea to fix WhatsApp Videos and Instagram ?</p>

<p dir="auto">New version of Opera based on Chromium 100 which is incompatible with older <a href="http://libffmpeg.so" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">libffmpeg.so</a>. So if you applied old fix that replaced <a href="http://libffmpeg.so" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">libffmpeg.so</a> that comes with Opera, it will crash on every page containing video or sound.</p>
<p dir="auto">The script above doesn't replace that lib, but adds new one to lib_extra folder.</p>

I downloaded the <a href="http://libffmpeg.so" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">libffmpeg.so</a> file from the Arch repository, changed it to Opera in the directory /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/ but this time it didn't work.</p>
