<![CDATA[Cannot playback general videos except for YouTube]]>I'm running Linux Mint Cinnamon 5.2.7 and I'm getting this when watching a video:

This video file cannot be played.
(Error Code: 102630)

I've considered the first workaround in this topic: www.forums.opera.com, replacing libffmpeg.so. However, when I do this, Opera doesn't open (since I didn't backup this file, I had to reinstall Opera).

I've tried disabling extensions (the only one I've now is the Opera's native Adblocker). I've tried disabling hardware acceleration.

Any other possible workaround?

Also, if I install Chromium even without Snap, it is removed if I install the package chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra.

When I created the link, it wasn't created (the terminal was silent) because /usr/lib/chromium wasn't there.

So, the solution for me was to just install Chromium browser and use its builtin libffmpeg.so on Opera. No need to install anything else...
