Then, open the "Bookmarks" file in the profile folder with a text editor and check if the trash folder's children array has bookmarks in it. If not, you're out of luck unless you have a backup or your "Bookmarks" or had previously exported your bookmarks to an .html file.</p>
<p dir="auto">If you use Opera Sync to sync your bookmarks, you could look on <a href="http://sync.opera.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">sync.opera.com</a> to see if the bookmark count looks like the count before you emptied the trash. If so, you can make a <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/new_profile" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">standalone installation</a>, sync your bookmarks in it, and see if the missing ones come in. If so, you could export those bookmarks and import them into your regular Opera.. This is a long shot though and counts on things not syncing right. Opera probably synced the emptying of the trash from your Opera.</p>

If you get the sidebar, scroll to the bottom to click the link to open as a tab. At the bottom of the folder view you will find a folder named Trash. If you haven't emptied trash, all your old deleted bookmarks will still be there.</p>
