      Worst. "Feature". Ever.

Please explain how you came to the conclusion that this was a good idea.

Is it to make me do a linear mouse-over my "speed" dials to emulate O(n) behavior where n is the number of "speed" dials I have per domain?

@leocg @dtgq Speed dial animation, it's there in the Easy Setup, One particular animation has the caption slide out when you hover a tile, just switch to any of the other settings.

@sgunhouse Thank you. I'm certain that I didn't mess with this setting... was it set by a version upgrade?

@dtgq Apparently, as you aren't the first one to mention it. I had actually set it myself to see what it and the alternatives do; if you never scroll your Speed dial page it isn't a bad thing. I can only guess most people never looked at it so they were trying to show it off - probably changed it randomly to one of the other settings for those who had never touched it. I mean, I understand wanting to show what can be done, but they need an obvious way for people who don't like it to put it back. And no, I don't count as obvious.

Oh, I hated it too, thanks to you I've found out it was just an animation setting and not a feature from the updates. Changed to animation "none" already. Thanks!
