I'm trying to use Opera with Windows 11 but I'm having a lot of problems:

Opera is very slow to start (> 1 min) and the first site again takes more than 1 minute to display the first site (With Edge it is immediate)

Opera crashes regularly

On a light background favorite popup Windows, (settings, downloads...) are illegible Conclusion Opera (like Google Chrome) is unusable on Windows 11, so I use, for now, set, Edge as the default browser. Too bad I liked Opera a lot

You can test to see if you can successfully make a standalone installation to a folder on your desktop. If not, there's probably really something wrong with Windows.

There's this issue that you can check for. But, it should have been fixed a while ago.

There's also this issue that you can check for. But, since you're seeing an Opera process remain in the Windows task manager, that's probably not the case.

I click on the icon to start it, but nothing seems to happen. The Opera process shows up in the Task Manager, however. If I try again to start it, it just results in more hung processes showing up in the Task Manager.

I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the installer hangs on "Installing for current user".

I have Windows 11 Home Edition. Windows installed some updates a couple days ago, so I think the problem might be related to that.

I have a brand new computer and a brand new install of Windows, all the other programs work fine, opera takes a minute to open, huffs and puffs and stutters like a retarded fat guy running uphill, and is generally unusuable. I don't care why it doesnt work, because that's not my problem. I refuse to do the work of programmers. If it doesn't work, immediately, on all devices, it is gone. I will be completely ceasing all use of opera on all devices.

Nevermind, uninstalled it and deleted my account. I'm done playing technician because you can't get your sh*t together. Nobody is paying me and your product isn't worth any effort.
