another problem i mentioned in another thread in the past ......... the security ........ while it had to give a password to see "saved passwords " in setting section, now it is not present anymore ............. anyone can open my browser and see all my saved passwords .............

If you set a password for your account, Opera will ask for that password before showing your stored passwords.

Have you ever tried to see a password in Opera? If so you may have noted that it asks for you OS password.

the simple question to ask yourself is ...... what is the harm in the presence of a master password that a user has to remember to have access to his other saved passwords !!!!

They will have access to your entire computer too, pictures, email, documents etc as well.

So don't give them access to your computer in the first place, then you won't have to worry about them snooping through your stuff. Create a guest account in Windows Vista, and get friends and other people you let use your computer to use that. Problem solved.

As i said, the person will need to know your OS password.

second ........... i do not mean remote access ....... i mean access to my saved passwords if i will leave my computer open to a friend or someone else .....

if master password is not important ........ then why did they keep it in firefox or google chrome ........... and it was set already in older version of opera ........ but i do not know what is the harm in it in such that developer team had removed it

Well, the person would need to have physical access to your computer, know your OS username and password , know Opera and know how to see passwords in Opera.

Even if someone could manage to access your computer while you were already logged in, s/he would need to know your os password to see your passwords in Opera.
