I want to do the same on Opera GX, but whenever I move Facebook messenger to the main bookmark tab, it only gives me the option to rename it, not retain it's original name.

How do I keep the original name and allow the bookmark to automatically change it's name in correspondence to notifications? (I want to see the number change)

I realized I had to move the bookmark from the tab itself, I used the bookmark page and moving a bookmark that is not in the main tab will force it to be renamed.

If you just copy the bookmark to the bookmarks bar, you should not have to rename anything.

Can that be disabled?

The bookmark works perfectly fine and reflects the missed notification on M edge, all I need to do is close those notifications, close the browser, and the number updates.

Regarding the title of the bookmarked page changing according to the number of notifications, I guess it's not possible.

The page would need to constantly be re-bookmarked to reflect the current number of notifications.
