I get an error message telling me to try again later. I upgraded to the latest Flash player, disabled all plugins except Flash, deleted Flash caches & reinstalled Flash, uninstalled and reinstalled Opera, and was finally reduced to installing Chrome, which plays videos just fine.

Are there any suggestions on how I can get Opera to play YouTube videos? Vimeo plays just fine, but YouTube returns an error message.

My laptop works just fine with version 12.17.

Perhaps I should uninstall all versions of Opera, delete plugins, clear the caches, remove registry entries and reinstall one of the earlier versions. Any suggestions along those lines of thinking?

More info:
Just played a 1080 YouTube video in Chrome and have been monitoring the connection speed--about 55Mbps. It appears that the video is attempting to buffer instead of starting right away and maybe times out(?). There is no data transfer while Opera attempts to buffer. Also, I can place the mouse pointer along the YouTube time slider and get tiny pop-ups of the video.

Any ideas?
