<![CDATA[[Solved]Opera Completely reset itself, can't recover or load bookmarks]]>Hi,

So for some reason this morning Opera GX was no longer pinned to my task bar and I needed to navigate to AppData to even launch it.

On opening, it had completely reset itself with none of my preferences or bookmarks visible. I found the "Bookmarks" file under Roaming which seems to still have all of my bookmark data in it. However, these arent available on lauch and I cant add them becasue its not an HTML file.

Could I please get a hand reloading these bookmarks, this I should be able to redo everythign else, and maybe get some idea to how this could have happened

The issue was more that it looks like Opera GX, somehow, uninstalled or somethings since when opening the opera GX launcher it would only open Opera.

A reinstall with a backup of my bookmarks and preferences did the trick

If you don't find them, go to opera://about and check the path for the profile directory.
If it's different from the place where you found that Bookmarks file, then you will close Opera, copy the Bookmarks file from where you found it and paste into the current Opera profile directory.
