You may want to just close that page, that tab but continue to navigate on the web, you may want to keep it opened because of social networks in sidebar, etc.

Anyway, I'm not against having an option.

I mean saying that this feature is one of the main reason Opera is better is just not true. I never close the last tab of my browser thinking "man, I'm glad it's staying open for no reason."
