<![CDATA[[Solved]Sidebar effected with dark theme from easy setup]]>Opera GX has the option light, auto, and dark in the easy setup menu. The auto and dark is interferring with the sidebar programs such as whatsapp and spotify. This is a recent issue as i have never encountered this before, after months of using Opera GX using the dark theme

It's still greyed out.

If you disable it on a tab, it will also be disabled on the sidebar since the sidebar messengers are just the pages put on a panel.

Then click in the option to remove it from Force Dark Pages.

Here I can't access the exception list for Force Dark Pages, Opera crashes when I click on the link

revert back to light mode
refresh whatsapp
change back to dark mode

although only temporarily

Disabling Force Dark Page in a tab also do the same for the page in the sidebar.

So far the only solution is to revert to light mode in the easy setup settings and refresh whatsapp. It then reverts to light mode. Then, I would change back to dark mode

The only solution I just found is to:

  1. revert back to light mode
  2. refresh whatsapp
  3. change back to dark mode
    but you have to redo this again after closing Opera GX

But I'm not so sure that is it now. Here everything works as should.

Try disabling all extensions and also try using a clean profile directory.

After connecting the phone, WhatsApp Web started using the dark theme, since my WhatsApp is set to use that theme.

So, WhatsApp is set to use light theme on the phone?
