<![CDATA[Read video instead of dowloading]]>How can I configure Opera so that when clicking on a link pointing to a video it reads it instead of downloading the file?

If the header says Content-disposition:attachment then the file will be downloaded. However ... Opera is based on Chromium, if Chrome downloads the file so will Opera and Vivaldi and Edge. Firefox and Safari are not based on Chrome.

I don't think Opera can play AVI or MOV files.

Maybe it has to do with what the site is telling the browsers to do with the file.

Do you believe it has to do with the file and not with the browser? Could it be that an extension of the browser will help? What would happen with avi or mov?

If I code with href, it gets downloaded whereas with other browsers it gets played without being downloaded
