<p dir="auto">I have tried a re-install but still get no autoupdates.  During re-install two tasks get entered in Task Scheduler both calling</p>
<p dir="auto">...\appdata\local\programs\opera\launcher.exe --(etc)</p>
<p dir="auto">but I can't tell if either runs since History tab is disabled.</p>
<p dir="auto">So how to enable history for these tasks or better yet find a log,<br />
and how to get autoupdate to run?</p>

It also checks for updates when system starts and on determined times. Check on Windows task scheduler.</p>
<p dir="auto">You have the latest version, so you will have to wait until a new release happens.</p>
<p dir="auto">By the way, I opened Opera GX and it has updated to latest build. Regular Opera didn't update yet, will see what happens in the next days.</p>

It never updates on it's own.  I always have to do it manually which means I have to remember to check frequently or I get out of date.</p>
<p dir="auto">So how is autoupdate supposed to work?  What does it need and what is the drill for finding out why it does not work?  I tried a clean profile - a big PIA and still not effective.  Can we confirm that it does actually work...somewhere, or am I wasting my time?</p>

And download and install it if there is one.</p>
<p dir="auto">Even if you don't open any of those pages, Opera should update at some point.</p>
