I don't want the amazon extension at all, I want this filth off my PC. How do I remove it and/or disable it forever? On this note, I don't want Any extensions to appear without my express permission, like all the various messengers Opera has forcefully added [ie: Facebook messenger, whatsapp, telegram, etc], none of which I want.

So, how do I remove these and/or opt out of these abortions ever appearing on my Opera browser ever again?

One of the reasons I rarely use Opera is junk like this.. hopefully it doesn't come back. Now if I could just get rid of the Social Media crap so easily

Good job devs, good way to piss off newcomers like me.

Any way to remove that garbage. If not, just a click of a button will uninstall opera browser, simple as that.

Adding an extension to remove it, is like mad!!
Should be there a clean removal option.
Should not be adding things on behind the shoulders. Should be not unremovable extensions.
Or, I'm going off the whole from Opera.
More on this, Discovered those days from Wikipedia that Opera has been sold to a Chinese owned equity fund in 2016, so I fear high that unwillingly I am giving all my personal data away to china from the last 5 years. Very poor also not have been informed on this.
Discovered new strange bugs in the latest version: for instance, downloaded files panel won't show no more the downloaded file that i see in the dropdown list. So, seems they are fiddling with code to do strange things.
No more affordable. Sadly.

Amazon assistant back again 2021/08 - Opera desktop version 78.0.4093.112 - and could not be removed!
Extension is hidden everywhere in settings or extension manager! No way to remove or disable it.

Seems Opera is going to left out the user's privacy to bring money in, and won't let users do what they want on their computer.
Time to search for a new browser, not already compromised by business.
Please any help is welcome to remove this forced gadget, or I should decide to backup to previous version and change to another browser more privacy respectful.
Removal of unwanted tools should be always possible. Also, first of all, such AD tools should Not be installed on behalf of the user and behind his shoulders!!!
Only because Amazon exists in the world and it has success on selling things, it doesn't mean it should have access to my behaviours on other sites, and have an extension permanently installed on my computer. This is a greater privacy violation from Opera toward all users.
Is Opera no more committed to respect user's rights and privacy, and do sells user's privacy to the big selling industry?
Who is in charge of piloting the Opera ship and what are the decisions taken on behalf of us? Is possible to have confidence in what they do at this point?
This part of Opera is growingly bad and is not the first time they try do do such things.
For me it is probably time to come back to an open source web browser as I feel myself menaced and outraged from this behavior. Real sad feelings come from my heart.

Go to extensions, click Get More Extensions.
Install the Amazon for Opera extension
Now remove the extension youve installed, and the one that added itself also disappears

Opera, since you cannot be contacted directly, if you can't assist with this I will be changing to different browser.

For the last few weeks, I've seen this extension pop up next to others. Whenever I first go to it, it will disappear and reappear at the opposite end of the extensions, then disappear completely if I'm not quick enough to pin it down. If I right click on it, my only options are to pin it and move to toolbar.

I can't figure out why it's there or what it does. It also doesn't appear when I look at the rest of my extensions in the manager. Anyone know what this is?
