It keeps on putting a shortcut in my Start Menu. Any way of stopping this? I see nothing in Services.msc or msconfig to control this and there seems to be no setting in Opera that controls this. For a browser known for user control this is a very strange feature.

Or return to the original file name to reenable the auto update.

On my About Opera page it doesn't mention the location. This is what it says on mine:

Version:77.0.4054.172
Opera is up to date
Update stream:Stable
System:Windows 7 64-bit
Rate Opera
Opera help

But no worries. For others that want to do this just note your version number in Help, About Opera, then look for that folder in your Program Files, Opera folder. Inside that folder you'll see opera_autoupdate.exe and that's what you rename to stop it from updating automatically apparently.

Now can I update it manually somehow or do I have to rename this back to the original name to get it updated? This is one convoluted design choice they made!
