<![CDATA[Built-in AdBlock is blocking YouTube ads even when turned off?]]>Hi, to make this clear I want YouTube ads to play on my videos. My problem is that the ads aren't playing on YouTube and I don't know why.

I have:

  • Turned off the built-in AdBlock that Opera GX has for YouTube.

  • Reinstalled Opera GX

And I do not have any other Ad Blocking extensions on Opera GX.

As far as I am aware, I do not have any applications or software on my computer to block ads as when I use YouTube on Chrome, the ads play.

For context, I want ads to play because it is the main way you can support the creators on YouTube and the main way the creators on YouTube make their income, and by using AdBlock you are essentially stealing from the creators that you watch.

I think the problem is that the Turn off for this site button does not work.

The video player may count as a different page (that is, a frame) from the rest of the content.
