Then, send that link to yourself in an email and click the link in the email you receive.

See this page (save and load locally or use Opera 12) for more info.

Also, in the shortcut editor, you can create a new shortcut and type in the action field and Opera will show a list of available commands. That should help you find the commands for Previous and Next Message. Since the down and up switch to the next and previous items in the list, you should see the commands are previous item and next item. But, if you want the next or previous unread item, you can look in ui/standard_menu.ini in the program files folder to find the commands in the menu when you right-click an item in the list.
