I was wondering why that happens and what is the recommendation.</p>

It should looks like following: <code>"\path\to\launcher.exe" --no-experiments</code><br />
If the browser run and doesn't crash, click on the address bar and type <code>opera:flags</code>, press enter and click the "Reset all button" and then "Relaunch" button. Remove the switch from the shortcut, run the browser and see if this helps.</p>
<p dir="auto">If the above doesn't help, launch the Opera with the following switch: <code>"\path\to\launcher.exe" --disable-extensions</code><br />
If it helps, go to "Extensions" page (default shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+E") and disable all extensions.<br />
Close the browser and remove the switch, launch the Opera, start enabling extensions one by one and try to figure out which one may be the culprit.</p>
