Have never had this issue until I started using OperaGX (coming from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge). I can catch it most of the time but feels like a functional issue with the browser itself.

This computer is 1366x768; fairly typical resolution for a laptop. My actual window is probably 1150-1200 wide (never actually measured it) - if your window was less than about 1000 pixels wide they might start resizing stuff to fit.

When I am zoomed to 100%, the negatives in exponents disappear. Zooming in to 110% brings the negatives back. I suppose it was always just a resolution issue of some sort then. Leaving it at 110% zoom is perfectly fine and is what I will do from now on. Thanks!

The page looks the same in Opera GX, Opera Developer and Chrome Canary.

Are you zoomed out, so that the negative (presumably the ones in the exponent) is so thin you might just not be able to see it? Not exactly that, but I mean so thin it ends up falling between the pixels on the screen and is thus invisible?

I have seen this behavior for a number of articles with equations as well.
