<![CDATA[Opera send a personal data to Google-Yandex?]]>When a new chromium based Opera was released - it was announced as a most secure browser. But when I install a new Opera version I see not only a too much of integrated external services as WhatsApp and Facebook etc, but also a some "known as an aggressive personal data stealing services" as bloody Yandex - the "Yandex Zen" functionality which are turned on by default. Also Opera now have a some annoying "buying advertising popups" which must be based on a Google products and searches, etc.

  • Does Opera send any statistics or personal data to Google or even a dishonest Yandex?
  • Does Opera exchange with Google/Yandex with a personal user ID?
  • Does Opera send a individual CPU SN to Google/Yandex?
  • Which negotiations Opera have with Google/Yandex?

That's the obvious problem with unified privacy statements - you don't know which parts of it apply to the product you use (in our case, the browser).

A mod had me 'create a new search engine' from Google, and by default, it had all this junk code in it that's obviously for tracking/identification purposes.

I don't believe Yandex does anything unless you select it as a search engine. What's leading you believe it sends data to Yandex?

  1. Remove all cooperations with all 3-rd party dishonest or at least "not very trustworthy" services as Yandex, VK, etc. Can keep more reliable services Google, MS, Facebook.
  2. Add possibility to block all additional services which collect users data as Flow/Sales/News/Massengers/etc and OperaID before installation.

Otherwise now it is probably better to not install Opera at all. ๐Ÿ˜ž
