I opened opera after force quit and a restart and all my tabs have gone. After much digging I found com.operasoftware.Opera folder and in there the Sessions folder and delightfully a 491kb file Tabs_1232... - dated last night.
I backed up the whole directory and then closed opera and removed all files from the Sessions directory except Tabs_1232....
On restarting Opera I still have no tabs and it has created a new Tabs_ file.
Please how might I restore the tabs from before the crash?
