Passwords-function defective in Opera

First of, I Like opera. Really. Liked what O did for the community, liked the inventions, look-and-feel, everything.
I work in support, and I've been recommending Opera for years.
Increasingly, I come to regret this.
Latest example:
saving passwords Does Not Work Properly .
And puh-leeaaze do not tell me how it is Supposed to work. I know that. I've been using the password-saving functions for years on many OS and with many browsers. O's problems as of February 2021:

1. Passwords are Not being saved, although settings say they will
2. saved pw get lost (goddammit)
3. worst of all: once a password IS in saved in Opera, you can correct it all you want, Opera sticks to the first version And won't delete it. Only total removal of Opera from the system, "profile" and all, wipes out the passwords; afterwards, Opera won't save them at all.
   This happens on Standard systems and, btw, other users complain as well.

This makes Opera useless for most of my users. I do not want any suggestions at this point. Just hope some admin'll read this.
Maybe there is a very clever way to get this to work, I Don't Care . Get it to work! Totally change the way Opera handles passwords and make this secure and simple to use.
This functions is of paramount importance and simply can not stay this way.
Won't recommend Opera to anyone until this is fixed. Kindest regards from the south of Germany,
