You can try restart your opera.

If you encounter it please check:

  • Does restart help?
  • Are there any extensions that might interfere? Please try disable extensions.
  • Is there siteprefs.json in the profile folder (location of the profile folder is visible in the opera:about page)
  • If nothing above helps, please remove/delete siteprefs.json, restart the browser and wait a minute for new sitepref to be downloaded. This should work.

We do so through siteprefs.json file which should be downloaded from server. If you experience this problem could you check if you have siteprefs.json in your profile directory (directory location can be found on opera:about page).

I guess you put the site address in one side and the desired user agent in the other and click the add button.

All Opera can do is providing workarounds that may stop working at any time, like it seems to have happened now.

Try using an extension to change the user agent for the site and see if it helps.
