<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Websites sometimes open in a new tab, sometimes in the same one]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">While surfing via Opera GX I confronted a weird "new tab opening" mechanic/bug – it randomly switches from "I, the Great Opera, will open this link in a new tab" to "huh, 2 is kinda too much tabs to have, user_name, so I will open your beloved <a href="http://whatever.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">whatever.com</a> right in this same tab".<br />
It is very uncomfortable, as I used to simply close unnecessary tabs. Couldn't find any solution in Settings.</p>

<p dir="auto">Opera doesn't have a setting to override the sites decision about if links will be opened in the same tab or not. However, you can use, for example, middle click to open a link in a new tab.</p>
