I'm used to having separate URL and search boxes in the top bar from Firefox and would definitely prefer the option to do that. When I'm intending to search for something, I don't want it to autofill some URL instead. I've seen some mention of this feature in regular Opera (unless it's been removed since) but not GX. Any chance we could get this feature?

I simply can't get used to a browser that does not have a dedicated search box. They are Far too useful and have become second-nature for me while researching and doing homework. So, if Opera is going the dark route of following Chrome and Edge, and dropping the dedicated search box, then I'll have no choice but to stick with Firefox/Waterfox. I'm hoping, it was just an oversight in GX and they bring back the option for enabling the dedicated search box.
