As a last resort I tried to remove and reinstall the app, it did not help either. Whenever a page requests gps data, it fails. All permissions are granted both on OS level and in the app. At the same time, other apps, like navigation and Chrome can retrieve location.

As a different issue, before uninstalling I gave a try to the sync feature, to save and restore my quick dials, but after the install Opera showed the default (paid for) qd's, and it synced them to my account too (why?). I can see my old qd's on the webpage, but there is no way to restore them. This behaviour is nonsense.
