I am a new Opera user. Just installed version 23. Some questions :

How can I view the Menus?

Is there a way of importing bookmarks so they appear in the Bookmark bar (I added the Bookmark manager extension and imported my Firefox bookmarks, but, they only appear in the Bookmark Manager button, and can't be moved to Opera bookmarks bar)?

What kind of toolbar are you missing? Do you have in mind specific buttons or functionality?
The only other bar you can enable in the settings (under user interface) is the bookmarks bar.

Sincerely, I wouldn't go all the way back to Opera 12.17 for toolbars - I can't recommend it, it's simply too slow/laggy/incompatible with the today's web. Stay in the current Opera version or choose another browser that suits your needs better. Tell us what specific functionality you miss and we might be able to help you access the functionality, point to a keyboard shortcut, setting or extension.

How do I get Toolbars? Opera guidance says I go to Settings>Preferences>Advanced>Toolbars, but those options are not available under the main menu.

If I want Toolbars, must I download an older version?

Maybe easier still, just press the alt key on your computer, or if that doesn't work, alt F and the menu will also open. It simple to open the menu. Or to close it.

Click on "Opera" on the top left of the screen.
If you mean the file, edit, etc one, it doesn't exist.
