<![CDATA[Real location and vpn]]>VPN is activated. My IP is different BUT when I go to https://www.whatsmyip.org/more-info-about-you/ it pegs me where I am?
conversely, if I take the IP that is given to me though the VPN and put it in the https://www.whatsmyip.org/ip-geo-location/ then it shows Im in a different location. why is this?

I thought location is driven by IP?

Try disabling it.
