Once Opera 69 doesn't work anymore and Opera 70+ has not changed to better i will look for another alternative...

71 will go stable when they determine it is ready (there is a lot to check with the Chromium update and making sure things are not broken).

What I wonder is why the change log for 70 and others are missing updates in the change log.

Is there any way to get rid of the black line that now appears around several search fields & link buttons? It's really annoying.

I would also like the line around the address bar to be always visible.

I've noticed that speed dial tiles want saw until vpn connects. By disabling vpn they load instantly. Can someone confirm please?

I appreciate the feeling and probably would not update either however I use V7 Bookmarks and don't see any issue. Current Opera version is 70.0.3728.178 (Win 10, 2004) but have used all versions(unless I missed one and did not know it) for, idunno, years(3 ithink).
Opera is a Great browser, meaning of course that the developers/maintainers are doing great work.
Maybe you should try again?
