What does the Opera Browser Assistant do ?

I've got a slowish PC anyway - but Opera was going Very Slow - i mean so slow i can get a cup of drink & come back before a page loaded - very slow..

in AVG tuneup, i made Opera browser assistant in sleep mode (inactive) and now opera goes really fast

You can check the startup list in Windows and disable it if you want.
