I just installed Opera browser on a new computer. I can get Youtube videos to play fine but Netflix, Amazon, and Imdb all give me errors and will not play. I did some searching and found things in forum saying to copy libffmpeg.so from chrome to Opera but I did a search for that file after installing Chrome and did not find it either on this computer or on other computers that have been working fine.
I am not using VPN. I've tried turning off ad blocking. Videos work fine on this computer with other browsers but I really prefer to use Opera. What is my next step?

Next step was to do a search for Windows 10 Pro N video.
I found this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3145500/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions
I followed the instructions there and..... Videos now play perfectly. Thank you for your assistance.

You need to download the media package from Windows Update.

Windows 10 Pro N
I did a search for H264 and got a ton of Youtube links as a result. They all play fine.
This is a brand new home built computer so I have no videos on it unless any came as a part of Windows.

The Netflix one led me to an article mentioning Windows N. Do you have a N version of Windows 10 by chance?

H264 is probably the most used video codec nowadays.

You can try opening a video from your computer in Opera.

Darned if I know what they mean. All I know is I can't get videos to play at any site I've tried other than Youtube. Just though I'd include the error codes on the chance that someone else might know.

Dude... You're talking to an old guy here. I've at least heard of mp4.. Never heard of h264... I have no idea what format things use. Where would I go to try those things?
I thought of another place to try. On Facebook I can play videos but have no sound.

Can you play mp4/h264 videos in Opera?

That explains the lack of that file.
I was having this issue with a brand new install and update of Opera but I went ahead and reset things anyway as the instructions said with no improvement.
Amazon error says I must upgrade to a newer version of Opera but I'm already using what appears to be the latest. (70.0.3728.106)
Netflix gives error code O7355.
Imdb gives Error Code: 224003.
