Hi, i had the same problem today. I searched it up and came across this. A few minutes later i figured the problem. I was using the wrong opera gx. maybe I was using the beta or its just a copy. the actual one is: https://www.opera.com/gx
If you don't believe me, go onto a YouTube and type opera gx sponsor and they will lead you to the same link but just supporting them with an extra URL type.

Also, you can go Settings>Basic Settings>Manage lateral bar And click "GX Control"fa69a472-64c0-44df-8fd2-f28e8e8b1e05-image.png
